Pastors Kejela Mekonnen and Tole Geramu were killed by violent rebels in late 2021 because of their faith in Christ. Members of the Oromo Liberation Front rebel group threatened these pastors, telling them to stop preaching about Jesus and instead lead their congregations back to the traditional Oromo religion. When the pastors refused to give up preaching about Christ, rebels went to their homes and shot them. Pray for the families of these pastors as they grieve their loved ones. Pray that they can find strength and hope in Christ amid their suffering. Pray that the rebels who killed the pastors will turn to God and find salvation in Christ.
